Another student artist and I collaborated to design, organize, and paint a community mural for a Freshman dorm basement. During the design process, we met with Residence Life staff, current and former residents, and former theater members. We invited students living in the dorm to help us paint the mural. Over the 3-week painting period, close to 30 different individuals picked up a paintbrush and helped. The mural honors the history of the space while also looking toward the potential future. The completed mural measures 20x16 feet.
